On Thursday and Friday last week, A-listers from across the country trooped in to the wedding and the reception respectively, of Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh’s son, Amit.
Missing in action, and conspicuous by their absence, was Bollywood’s first couple the Bachchans Amitabh and Jaya. They did not come simply because they were not invited.
Says Amitabh, “Yes, it’s true, we were not invited, but Abhishek and Aishwarya were. But they could not attend the wedding as they were out of town.
Ash was back in Mumbai on (February 29) and so she attended the reception. But Abhishek was back from Jaipur on Sunday.” |
