It maybe music to your ears but if you are chasing the latest Walt Disney flick High School Musical online, you might be courting trouble.
Cyber crooks are floating infected files in the name of the hit musical on Peer-to-Peer (P2P) networks such as Limewire, Aries, eMule and eDonkey.
According to Panda Security, a leading provider of IT solutions, search on High School Musical-3 using any of these programmes provides a plethora of injected files laced with malicious code such as VB.ADQ, the Agent KGR Trojan and the adware Koolbar.
Vivek Vohra, a Delhi-based ethical hacker, said, "Hackers are using breaking news and keywords like nude, accident, Obama speech to entice web visitors."
He said, "Social networking sites such as Youtube, Orkut, Facebook and My Space have become cybercrooks' favourite modes to spread their malicious creations."
