Who snatched cops' pistols in Malegaon?

 THE SPOT: The site of the blast at Anshuman Chowk in Malegaon in which four people died and over 80 were injured. Two crude bombs attached to the parked Hero Honda motorcycles exploded in the crowded area on September 29

Over 20,000 people had gathered at Anshuman Chowk in Malegaon immediately after blasts took place there on September 29. Cops from nearby police stations, State Reserve Police Force personnel, etc were rushed to the place to control the public. But in the clash between the crowd and the police, the bodyguards of Malegaon's Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjay Patil and an IPS officer, Viresh Prabhu, lost their 9 mm pistols.

In fact, the pistols were grabbed from their hands by the crowd and the police are yet to find them. Prabhu was also injured in the violence after being hit on the head by a stone. Six policemen, including Prabhu, were injured.
Four persons died and over 80 were injured after two crude bombs exploded around 9.30 pm in the crowded area that day. The bombs were attached to parked Hero Honda motorcycles.

The Azad Nagar police station in Malegaon confirmed that the two pistols have been missing.
