The Mumbai police along with the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Uttar Pradesh today conducted searches at Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh to hunt one of the key members of Indian Mujahideen (IM) suspected to be involved in the recent series of bomb blasts across the country.
"The Crime Branch is looking out for Abu Rashid, who is allegedly one of the key members of the Indian Mujahideen (IM)," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria told PTI.
Abu Rashid has been named by the five alleged IM members arrested here by the Mumbai police two weeks back. They are suspected to be involved in the recent Delhi, Ahmedabad and other blasts across cities in the country since 2005, Maria said
