2 powerful bombs were recovered today from a busy area near state assembly in the city, which, police said, helped to avert a disaster.

 
The bombs, hidden in a box, were recovered from Bhagoduttapur area near Kahilipara, which is close to the state assembly and secretariat, police said.

 
2 people suspected to be connected with planting the bomb were picked up for questioning and a search operation was launched to capture those responsible.


The bombs were defused by the specialists from bomb disposal squad.
