I didn't snatch Nano: Modi
By: Agencies

Kolkata: Barely a week after Tata's Nano found its new home at Sanand, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has asked his West Bengal counterpart Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and Opposition leader Mamata Banerjee to work unitedly for development.

"The Marxists were once opposed to industrialisation. Continuity in the industrialisation policy will only help retain the people's confidence," said Modi in an open letter to both Bhattacharjee and Mamata.

Modi said, "The condition for the growth of Nano has not yet developed in West Bengal despite your serious efforts. People of West Bengal may think I have snatched Nano to Gujarat. But it is not so. There is no scope of misunderstanding."

"The Tatas purchased the Sanand land and it is free of any dispute over agricultural or non-agricultural in nature."
