Siblings were getting calls from recovery agents

By: Ketan Ranga

The Kasturba Marg police have learnt that Suchitra Nair and her brother Sudhir, who committed suicide along with their parents A K Nair and Shyamal, had been receiving calls from the banks and recovery agents for payments on all their credit cards. The police also suspect that they had taken some loans, which they were unable to repay.

The brother-sister duo had taken 71 debit and credit cards from several banks like ICICI, Axis, Standard Chartered, HSBC, HDFC, etc.

An officer from the Kasturba police said, "We are investigating how they managed to get multiple cards from each bank. We have sent letters to all the banks for information on their account status and transactions.

We have found that they were well off earlier. We don't know why they unable to pay their credit card debts."
