You can get free fuel for putting ads on your car. CASHurDRIVE is launching in Bangalore next month and will pay you for putting ads on your car.
"Car owners can earn anywhere between Rs 1,200 to Rs 5,000. They will not get cash, but fuel coupons instead. We have tied up with Hindustan Petroleum and Bharat Petroleum. Car owners just have to put 'wheel boards', carrying ad on their cars. They don't need to change their mileage, the distance they travel or even their route," said Raghu Khanna, CEO, CASHURDRIVE.
Register first
Owners have to first register on the website.
"Vinyl stickers will be put on the cars. The stickers do not spoil the car paint. At the end of the campaign, the sticker will be removed. If your car is old and needs repaint, we will even do that without charging you," he said.
The campaigns may last anywhere between three months to one year.
"The car owners have the choice to drop out of the campaign," he said.
The monitoring
The fuel money given depends on the kilometers the car travels, the place it is parked, the areas it goes through regularly and the space on the car given for advertising.
"We will check the odometer at the start and end of a campaign. A coupon worth Rs 500 will be given at the the beginning, and more coupons given later at regular intervals. The owner also gets a magnetic ID card which has to be swiped at the petrol bunk," he said.
There will also be an accountability of the routes the car takes.
"The bunks will also keep a note of the vehicles that had come. This will also help us know which areas the vehicle has passed through. Vehicle tracking systems will also be used to track the vehicle's route. Random checks may also be done," he said.
In India 13,500 cars are registered with the site, since its inception in August this year.
"800 cars from Bangalore are registered. We also have cars from Udupi and Mangalore. A travel agent in Shimoga has registered his cabs with us." Log on to http://www.cashurdrive.com/

Raghu, 23, an alumnus of IIT Guwahati, did not want to work as a techie. "I wanted to do something of my own. The slogans on trucks interested me. I thought if this could be converted into ads, there's money for the driver and a medium for the advertiser.
