If you were waiting for the right time to buy electronic goods at cheaper rates, the time is now.
This Diwali, retailers are providing electronic goods at low prices with assured gifts, zero-finance schemes, exchange offers and a lot more in a bid attract more customers.
Manoj Kumar, CEO, E Zone and Electronics Bazaar, said, "We had planned all our discounts especially for Dhanteras and Diwali to woo more patrons."
Nilesh Gupta, partner, Vijay Sales, said the response has been fantastic. "We do not offer gifts, which may not
be too useful to people. Instead, we are offering huge discounts," said Nilesh. He added that the low prices would continue for two more months.
Even leading manufacturers such as Life's Good (LG) are offering freebies for Diwali.
LG is gifting a DVD player worth Rs 5,000 with HDMI cable and 50 blockbuster DVD movies on the purchase of every frameless Plasma TV. Partha Basu, product manager (commercial), said, "We have come up with such offers after almost a year.
We have made up for all the losses because of inflation," she said.
Pragnya Rao, a media professional, was excited about the low prices and went on a shopping spree.
"I got a 230-litre LG fridge for Rs 12,000 against a price of Rs 20,000, an LG washing machine for Rs 12,000 and a chimney for Rs 7,990. The kind of discounts that are on offer are very tempting," said an excited Pragnya.
