Delhi: Delhiites can now pay their water bills round the clock at five ePay kiosks installed by the Delhi Jal Board (DJB). The Jal Board has installed ePay Automated Bill Payment Kiosks at its head office at Varunalaya building, Preet Vihar, Shivpuri, Greater Kailash-I and RK Puram.
"These kiosks will remain open 24 x 7 and facilitate consumers who can now pay their water bills any time, any day convenient to them. Consumers can pay their bills by cash or by cheque and will get instant receipt for all the payments made at the kiosk," said a DJB official.
"After the first five, in the second phase seven more kiosks will be opened in different areas," said the official. These kiosks have connectivity to the DJB billing system for posting of payments and a transaction time of under a minute. Consumers will not have to pay anything extra to pay bills on the automated bill kiosks.
Dedicated customer care assistants will be deployed at all centers. However, it is advisable for consumers to carry the copy of water bill while paying the bill at the kiosks. "It will ease the task of filling the forms displayed on the screen," said a customer care assistant.
