Got some clues: Police investigates the crime scene

A 32-year-old man was shot dead in Gurgaon on Monday night by his friend. The victim, Mahesh, had invited his friend Baba alias Montu and others for a session of gambling and drinking in his rented flat at Arjun Nagar.

They were playing cards when at around 11.45 pm some argument took place between Mahesh and Baba. Baba allegedly took a 9 mm pistol belonging to Mahesh and shot him in his abdomen. Soon after, Baba fled the scene with the pistol as their other friends informed the police.

Later, when the police reached the spot, they found Mahesh dead.

Though the motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained, the police have arrested four people who were present in the flat when the incident took place.

A case of murder has been registered in the Arjun Nagar police post and the police are questioning Mahesh's friends.

Meanwhile, in another incident, a 22-year-old electrician allegedly stabbed to death his fiancée and her sister at their residence at Bindapur Extension before committing suicide on Monday afternoon.

According to the police, Yashpal, who hails from Haryana, wanted to marry Deepa (18) but she had been refusing for quite some time. A quarrel ensued between the two when he went to her residence on the pretext of meeting her, following which he stabbed her. Deepa's elder sister Geeta (26) was also attacked when she tried to intervene.

"Yashpal used a butcher's knife to commit the crime. Hearing cries from the residence, neighbours rushed to the spot, but he had already hung himself from a ceiling fan," a police official said.

The three were rushed to the nearby hospital where they were declared brought dead. Both the sisters had multiple stab wounds on their bodies. A case has been registered.
