COACH Vasant Anchan was in a fix yesterday. He didn't know which team to support as Swami Vivekanand (Kandivli) took on the Borivli branch in the MSSA inter-school football boys' U-16 playoffs at Azad Maidan yesterday.

Said Anchan, who is the coach for both schools, "It wasn't a nice experience for me, especially when both teams are equally good. I never thought I would encounter such a situation. I couldn't wait for the game to get over."

Normally, the coach sits with the team but Anchan opted to sit between both the camps. It was clear that Anchan was not happy.

Quite a test!

However, the real test came when Kandivli's Aman Sanghrajka opened their goal account. Anchan was in a dilemma whether to celebrate the lad's success or feel sorry for Borivli.

During half-time, Anchan had an even tougher time.

"I had to speak to both the teams with two different perspectives. It certainly wasn't the easiest game for me," said Anchan.

Both teams played equally hard. Saumia Lahera went on to double the lead for the Kandivli team, which ultimately won 2-1. Rajat Gaikwad scored one for Borivli.
