75-yr old Sunday bazaar to be discontinued |

The Sunday bazaar on BVK Iyengar road near Majestic is being discontinued.
Police have decided to wrap up this nearly 75-year second-hand weekly market that had everything from food, clothes, household goods to arms and ammunition for the rowdies. And everything here was available at throw-away prices as they were mostly smuggled goods that is available in "chor-bazar".
In order to curb the free availability of arms such as swords, knives and other lethal weapons, police took this step.
People of the area will surely miss this weekly pilgrimage, that characterised a part of Bangalore. |
