Several malls like Dreams The Mall, Metro Mall and HBS Centrix are coming up in the vicinity.
The LBS road allows for easy connectivity to places like Vikhroli, Mulund, Kanjurmarg, Ghatkopar, etc. One can easily travel to Bhandup from Navi Mumbai via the Airoli Bridge as well as from the western suburbs via the Mulund- Goregoan Link Road.
Nahur railway station at Bhandup has somewhat decongested the traffic at Bhandup station. Areas like Village Road, Datta Mandir Road and Station Road are easily accessible from Nahur station.
The slum rehabilitation scheme near Nahur station has cleared the slum settlements near the railway tracks. This has made way for planned development in that area.
With the Metro Rail coming up near the LBS road, this area is going to be high in demand.
DISADVANTAGES
Except for the LBS road, streets in Bhandup are very narrow. The road to the station is always congested.
Waterlogging is a major problem in the monsoons. Areas like Samarth Nagar, Bhathipada, Sonapur get flooded in the rains.
The area doesn't have posh malls, shopping centers or multi-cuisine restaurants. All the malls are presently under construction.
