ADVANTAGES
Nerul is well-connected by road and rail. There are two railway stations i.e. Nerul and Seawoods. BEST and NMMT buses halt at Nerul. You get trains from Nerul to CST, Andheri and Thane. By road, you can access Nerul from the main road as well as the Palm Beach Road.
Residents don't have to travel far for education, health, shopping and other daily day-to-day needs. Retail chains like More, D-Mart, Foodland Fresh, Spinach, etc have their outlets in Nerul.
There are a number of hangout places like Masala Chai- Deli and Cafe, Cross Cafe, Ice N Spice pub, Konkan Cafe, etc. The DY Patil stadium hosts a number of sporting events, the IPL being the most famous one. Every sector has a park or a playground.
Nerul has a number of famous religious spots like the Anjaneya temple at SIES College, Kali temple at Bengal association, Balaji temple and Little Flower Church at Brahmagiri.
DISADVANTAGES
Like the rest of Navi Mumbai, Nerul too is affected by power cuts. There's shortage of water in summer months.
Nerul doesn't have a big mall or multiplex. Residents have to travel to Vashi for shopping or watching movies. |
