Tara Singh's sixer for record book

By: Varun Singh

The Assembly polls may have paved the way for Sardar Tara Singh, who became MLA from Mulund for the sixth consecutive year. The BJP candidate won by a margin of over 28,000 votes.

Now, son Rajneet plans to propose his father's name to the Limca Book of Records (LBR) for winning the same seat for six terms - three corporation and three Assembly elections. "I am finding out details and contacting officials at the LBR," said Rajneet. "I searched the Internet and tried to find people who have won continuous elections, but there were none.," said Singh.
