In what could be one of their biggest operations, a team of Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) is camping in Jammu and Kashmir to nab a high-ranking Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), suspected to have funded the Mumbai train blasts in 2006. A newly formed unit, tapped his phone and e-mails, and tipped the ATS.

The seriousness of the operation can be gauged from the fact that ATF Chief, KP Raghuvanshi himself is heading it.
"I am travelling," he remarked when contacted. ATS was tipped about the suspects' whereabouts three days ago.
The suspect is using the alias Abu Hamza, and has been using names like Riyaz, Muzammil and Bhatt. He was being used as a conduit to fund terror activists in Mumbai and adjoining areas. |
