Police on lookout for person who kidnapped and raped four-year-old girl in Mundhwa on Sunday
The police are on the lookout for a man who kidnapped a four-year-old girl from Mundhwa and raped her.
The culprit lured the victim into accompanying him on Sunday while she was playing at the construction site of a housing project in Lonkar Vasti, Keshav Nagar, Mundhwa.
After the girl went missing on Sunday evening, her parents searched frantically for her. They found her lying under a bush near the construction site on Monday. The victim was crying and told her parents that some person had caught her and taken her away. The mother of the victim then lodged a complaint.
The parents of the victim suspected that something was wrong and took the girl to Sassoon General Hospital for a check-up. It was then revealed that the girl had been raped.

"About 250 people have been questioned in this regard and we have got some important clues. The victim, being a minor, is not in a condition to give information about the rapist. She is still under medical observation in the hospital," DCP Jadhav said. "We cannot comment right now if the rapist was known or not known to the victim and how he lured her. But we are confident about nabbing the culprit soon."
