That's the message actress Neetu Chandra should be taught, as her first reaction to seeing Pak paceman Md Asif was the colour of his skin
There's a famous adage, which says 'first impressions are the last impressions. And it's sure that Bollywood star Neetu Chandra's first impression of Pakistani bowler Mohammad Asif, who is at the centre of a spot-fixing scandal, is not good. After reports surfaced about link-ups with the disgraced cricketer, she looked him up on the net and she allegedly said, "Kitna kaala hain." (He's so dark.)
 | | NO CONNECTION: Neetu Chandra | In fact the actress claims that she has never heard of the cricketer, as she is not a cricket fan and never heard about Asif. She does not watch cricket and has never seen Mohammad Asif or met him.
The controversy regarding Chandra came to light after Asif's ex-girlfriend cum Pakistani actress Veena Malik mentioned that Asif used to speak to an Indian actress and also provided her number. She did not mention any name. According to reports, the number belonged to Neetu Chandra. Malik claimed that Asif spoke about betting on this number.
The Traffic Signal actress' publicist Dale Bhagwagar denied all allegations. He said, "After I heard the media reports I checked with Neetu Chandra. But ironically, she has not even heard his name. When I asked her to see his photographs, her reaction was, 'Kitna kaala hain.'"
When asked if Chandra has ever met Malik, he said, "She has not met any Pakistani and has no connection in this scandal. The controversy has come after a phone number was given by Malik. But there are different reports about in the Pakistani media. The Scotland Yard and Interpol have found a list of numbers Asif had contacted. In the list, they found a number and messages being exchanged on that number and calls made by Asif. This has been claimed to be Chandra's number. But she has no involvement in this." |
