Mob agitation at Kalwa disrupts CR train services

A mob of about 1000 people resorted to a rail rook agitation at Kalwa resulting in disruption of suburban services on Central Railway

Interestingly, the agitation that began at 7.20 am Wednesday morning, was not organised by commuters or railway passengers. 

The CR officials suspect that a political organisations promoted the public demonstration, thus resulting in disruption of Thane-Kalyan slow corridor.

"Trains are being short terminated at Thane and Kalyan. At 8.45 am services were partially restored," said a CR spokesperson.
 
The morning and afternoon suburban services are likely to be affected in a large scale. About 100 suburban services could be cancelled by afternoon.
