9-year-old Mexican child gives birth
A 9-year-old girl has given birth in western Mexico and police are on a look out for the baby's purported father, a 17-year-old, according to authorities

Jalisco state police spokesman Lino Gonzalez told Fox News that the baby girl was born last week at a hospital in the city of Guadalajara and the mother-daughter duo are doing well.

Gonzalez said that the girl’s family alerted authorities after she gave birth to her baby, the alleged father has not been seen since in the neighbourhood they live in.
He said that if the baby’s paternity is proven the 17-year-old could face child sex abuse charges.
Gonzalez said that the girl told the authorities that the teenager was her boyfriend.
