17-year-old detained for molesting woman on staircase of her home
Officials of the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station detained a 17-year-old for allegedly molesting a 24-year-old female student of a private dental college.

The incident took place on February 4, when the victim was walking up the staircase in her residential building in Katraj area.

The boy came up from behind the woman and allegedly molested her. However, the girl did not approach the police and lodge a complaint immediately after the incident, as she was in shock and didn’t know what to do.
On February 8, when she went to an eatery with some friends to get some food parceled, she saw the same boy in the shop. She then lodged a complaint and the minor boy has been detained for offence under Section 354 (outraging modesty of woman) of the Indian Penal Code.
