Shooter of Marne gang nabbed with accomplice
The Anti-Extortion Cell of city police arrested a sharp shooter and an accomplice of the Ganesh Marne gang, who was absconding after a few members of the Sharad Mohol gang were murdered.

Apart from arresting Vitthal Shelar, the police also nabbed his accomplice Rohit Vairat, both residents of Mulshi. The police also seized two country made pistols, four live rounds and an SUV from their possession.

The sleuths, acting on a tip-off, laid a trap near the ChandaniChowk and arrested the duo, who had come to meet someone.“Shelar is wanted in several cases, including two murder cases, in which he and other gang members had killed two members of the Sharad Mohol gang in 2010 and were absconding since then,” said Police Inspector Sachin Sawant.
The team who managed to arrest the duo, include police personnel Sanjay Kalokhe, Ganesh Mali, Anant Dalvi, Rushikesh Mahalle, Nilesh Desai, Raju Pawar, Chandrakant Sawant, Tukaram Dhumal, Nagnath Gavali, Chandrakant Ingale and Sidharth Lokhande.
