Pydhonie building collapse toll rises to four

The death toll in the Khadija Mansion collapse at Pydhonie rose to four on Saturday. Almost 12 hours after the rescue operations began, fire officials recovered the body of a 28-year-old man from the debris.

A fire official said, “Another body was recovered around 5.50 am on Saturday. It has been sent to JJ Hospital for post mortem. The victim has been identified as Kamal Siddique Shaikh.”
Kamal Shaikh (28), Rafique Shaikh (35), Taleshwar Mahato (26) and Imtiaz Shaikh (28) died after the slab of 70-year-old Khadija Mansion in Pydhonie which was undergoing repairs collapsed.
