Speaking to MiD DAY, CI Sonawane, PI of Highway Police, said that the accident took place due to careless driving. “No other vehicle was involved in the accident. The driver must have taken a sharp turn at a high speed.” Soon after the accident, Highway Police, along with 50 employees of IRB, reached the spot. “We reached here in 15 minutes and rushed the injured to the nearest private hospital. Also, we immediately cleared the road to avoid traffic jam,” said Sonawane.
