Forest officials seize deer skin from model's Andheri flat
Cops on the lookout for man who supplied the skins
Moumita Ghosh, a model by profession and a resident of Veera Desai Road in Andheri (W), was caught red-handed with two spotted deer skin in her apartment by the Forest Department officials on Friday. Ghosh, a small-time model, was arrested, produced in court and remanded to police custody.
Acting on a tip off, the officials searched the flat of the accused from where the skins were recovered. Later, they told SUNDAY MiD DAY that Ghosh had revealed the name of one Nitin Chauhan of Ranchi, as the man who had allegedly sold her the deer skin. The forest officials have sent the skins to their laboratory for further examination.
