India:

Our politicians have ruined India's progress for their selfish motives. Most politicians come into power to fill their pockets. When we gained Independence, the vision was to form a good government with a strong democracy.

Today, politicians have underworld connections, which enables them to get away with anything.

There are more than 4,000 backward classes in India enjoying various quotas doled out by the so-called politicians.  So why should they do away with the quota system and harm their vote bank?

We see doctors, MBA students and engineers fighting for equal ranking and merits in their academic careers.

Students seeking admission in professional fields have to get 90 to 99 per cent to secure seats in a good college, while the backward class require only 40 to 50 per cent marks.

The only solution is to abolish the quota system for good.

Put them in the zoo

The BMC has taken a good decision to undertake the zoo renovation project.

Instead of importing wild animals, why not put some of our wild corporators into cages to entertain visitors.
These unruly representatives go berserk at the fall of a hat, if some decision upsets them. They damage mikes, chairs, tables and provide free entertainment to viewers on the idiot box.

Most corporators have done more harm than good to Mumbai. During the monsoon, the BMC is pulled up for the shoddy work, but we fail to hold our corporators accountable for the mess.
