Is all the honking disturbing your prayers?
By: Kirby V Furtado

Mumbai:

Kirby Furtado says people can pray peacefully without honking of vehicles in the vicinity

It was nice to read about the twenty women cabbies who have taken an oath to do the impossible pledge not to honk in a city like Mumbai.

Traffic is a part of every  Mumbaikar's daily life.

Talking about no honking zones, there is a rule that forbids vehicles from honking near educational institutions.

This rule should be applicable to the areas surrounding religious places.

At St Michael Church in Mahim, especially throughout the day on every Wednesday, people from all walks of life and different religions come to pray.

It is annoying to hear the honking of vehicles whilst trying to concentrate on your prayers. Such areas should be make no-honking zones.
