Mumbai: This refers to a sketch which appeared in the MiD DAY dated July 24. A delegation of Sikh Media and Culture Watch has in a memorandum expressed protest.

The community has felt hurt by the said depiction and hence the protest, says the memorandum.

The Press has a right to pass comments and display its views, but not at the cost of hurting sentiments of any religion, caste or creed, reads the letter.

MiD DAY expresses regret over the use of the said sketch. It was carried without any malice towards a community, caste or creed. We apologise if it has hurt sentiments.
