The UPA government won the trust vote on Tuesday, but the citizens of India have lost their trust in democracy.

The recent events in Parliament have exposed the real interest of our politicians.

The BJP MPs, who claimed to have received bribe from the Samajwadi Party, could have exposed the scam in a better way.

Action should be taken against the guilty.

While the nation will breathe a sigh of relief, it is evident that in the days to come, the government will be busy tackling survival problems.

The government will fight to keep its disparate allies happy at all costs, while the Opposition will not leave any stone unturned to topple it.

Meanwhile, political ideologies will go for a toss.

The government has won the trust vote and lost everything else honesty, integrity, values, ethics and ethos.

Never before in the history of parliamentary democracy have facts of horse-trading come out in the open as they have now.

It is not only a setback for India, but also for our national pride.

All the four pillars of democracy have been shaken, leaving the common man helpless.

'Politics without principles' one of the seven social sins promulgated by Mahatma Gandhi and inscribed at Rajghat is being practised openly by members of all parties.

What a state of affairs the Congress and its leaders  have come to!

The political drama by the BJP MPs clearly shows that these leaders are devoid of any shame and morality.

And for this they have not even hesitated to blackmail the Manmohan Singh government.

In the next general elections, all these selfish, corrupt and avaricious political leaders must be removed.

Kudos to the Manmohan Singh-led UPA government for its clear-cut victory. But shame on the Left for its stubborn attitude.

Also, shame on all those who have turned our country into an international joke.

It is a shame on all those who use politics as their tool to achieve personal gains.

Khurshedcheher rytin2kc@rediffmail I was shocked to see cash bundles being flashed in the Lok Sabha. These politicians who run our country don't know how to behave.

We're certainly misusing the power of our democracy, which should have been used as the greatest tool towards the progress of our nation.

It is a matter of national shame for the people of India that such a tamasha took place in the Parliament.

L K Advani and his party MPs have disgraced the sanctity of the Indian Parliament by bringing in bundles of cash.

If the SP had offered this money to the BJP MPs, the scam should have been exposed in a better way.
