It is sad that animal sacrifices are still conducted in certain temples within Mumbai. The practice is banned and is punishable by law.

Animal lovers have been protesting in vain. It's time the government and general public take notice of this crime and stop it.

Can't a media-empowered generation take up the cause of saving helpless animals from the cruelty of superstitious rituals in present times?
