India: In Mumbai, earlier, there used to be gas lampposts.  Now, the city has electrical lampposts.

One thing that surprises me is that the power points on the lamp post are placed at a very low level; barely four feet from the ground.

I have noticed that many times, the lids are either stolen or open. This poses great danger to children, particularly during monsoon.

I wonder why Reliance Energy is not placing them at a higher level on the posts.

During the rains, there can be short circuits and it can harm people.
