Stop This: Taxis and autorickshaws went on a 24-hr strike yesterday | It is grossly unfair on the part of taxi unions to hold the general public ransom by calling a strike. Commuting in the city is next to impossible without taxis and autorickshaw plying.
The already packed-to-the-gills BEST buses are unable to ferry passengers, and the local trains in peak hours are impossible to board.
So how should the common man travel to and from work? The unions should find better ways to negotiate their demands with the government.
