This is with reference to your article, Pay taxi fare with your credit card, published on May 22. The idea is very innovative and useful for businessmen and women who don't prefer to carry cash and would rather pay via electronic money. The authorities should also try to implement this innovative idea in our normal cabs.
However, there should be a minimum limit that the fare should exceed before a passenger can pay by card.
Private taxi owners should ensure that the machine to swipe cards is tamper proof. Passengers should remember that there is always the danger of credit cards being forged when swiped in unreliable machines.
