A 58-year-old voter died soon after he exercised his franchise at a booth in the Kottayam parliamentary constituency.
The deceased, CM Sashidharan, a retired schoolteacher, had cast his vote at the Marangad Government LP School and was returning home when he suffered a massive heart attack.
He died on way to hospital, official sources said. Sashidharan had come to the booth along with a neighbour.
