Claiming that the BJP is the only secular political party in the country, former Bollywood heartthrob Hema Malini is optimistic of L K Advani becoming the next prime minister.
"Chal Dhanno, ye Basanti ki izzat ki sawaal hai," Hema Malini told people in the state where she addressed election meetings. Making Advani the prime minister is 'Basanti's izat', she explained to some people.
"You'll have enjoyed my films. In return, I want your support in fulfilling my desire of making Advani the PM," she said. Hema, in her second round of electioneering, addressed meetings at Talcher, Dhenkanal, Choudwar and two places in the state capital yesterday.
"We want peace and progress. This can only be given by the BJP and through Advani as the PM," the former superstar said, claiming that the saffron outfit belonged to diversified religions, caste and creed. She criticised the UPA government for its failure to check cross-border terrorism. |
