Kolhapur: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar is disregarding party loyalists by not consulting them for candidatures in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Kolhapur MP Sadashivrao Mandlik alleged on Tuesday.
Despite me winning the Kolhapur seat in the last three elections, Pawar has not declared the NCP candidate from the Kolhapur constituency.
He has not even consulted me over the issue, Mandlik said at a press conference here.
If there is any problem in declaring the name of the party candidate in Kolhapur, then the party leaders should consult us, but even this is not happening, he said.
Mandlik said he will take a decision on contesting the elections within a few days.
