  • Taloja Industrial area near Mumbai is infamous for its high pollution level and it has become more evident over the past few months. In a very strange and alarming incident, dogs in the Industrial area are turning blue which is due to the dye leaked from the dye making plants in that area. This leakage flows in a nullah nearby from where these dogs are contaminated. Also, when dogs trespass into the dye making units, they get coloured from the waste lying there. A local activist Arati Chauhan lodged a complaint to the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) in this regard requesting the board to take action. There are several chemical units in this area including several dye manufacturing units
