Sudha Murty takes oath as Rajya Sabha MP in Presence of husband Narayan Murthy

Sudha Murty on 14th of March took oath as a member of Rajya Sabha. This came days after her nomination to the upper house Parliament. Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar administered oath to the newly elected Member Sudha Murty in the Parliament House. She was accompanied by her husband, Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy, and Union Minister Piyush Goyal. President Droupadi Murmu nominated philanthropist, and author Sudha Murty to the Rajya Sabha. Sudha Murty has recieved prestigious awards including the Sahitya Akademi Bal Sahitya Puraskar, Padma Shri in 2006 and Padma Bhushan in 2023. Watch video
