During his remarks on Motion of Thanks on the President's Address in the Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi fired a scathing salvo on Opposition for allegedly supporting corrupt leaders and warned the ‘looters’. On his government’s action against corruption, PM Modi says, "The country is shocked seeing the stackes of cash being recovered…". In his speech, PM Modi said that, “During the tenure of Congress, ED confiscated properties of ₹5,000 crore only. However, during our tenure, the ED has confiscated properties worth ₹1 lakh crore. You will have to shell out the plundered money,” he asserted on the same.

Centre reduced corruption, prevented ‘Bhai-Bhatijawad'

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 01 said the concept of social justice was used as a political slogan in the previous governments, however, today the BJP-led Central government has adopted the idea of social justice into its governance adding that the policies of the Centre has brought "secularism into action, reduced corruption, and prevented nepotism". "This is secularism in action, reduces corruption, prevents nepotism," Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said while presenting the Interim Budget 2024 in Lok Sabha. "Social Justice was largely a political slogan. For our government, social justice is an effective and necessary governance model !! The saturation approach of covering all eligible people is the true and comprehensive achievement of social justice," Nirmala Sitharaman added.

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said that Dheeraj Sahu can explain the huge amounts of cash. "The Indian National Congress is in no way connected with the businesses of Dheeraj Sahu, MP. Only he can explain, and should explain, how huge amounts of cash have been reportedly unearthed by the income-tax authorities from his properties." Bharatiya Janata Party is leaving no stone unturned to attack the INDIA bloc, Congress over the incident.

He revealed that his team applied online for certification but was shocked by the corrupt practices at the CBFC office. Vishal explained that they were given an ultimatum: pay Rs 6.5 lakhs for certification, with an initial Rs 3 lakhs for a viewing fee and the remaining Rs 3.5 lakhs for the certificate. Islamabad: Imran Khan arrested in corruption charges outside court

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was arrested on Tuesday by Pakistani Rangers outside the Islamabad High Court. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief was taken into custody in connection with the Al Qadir Trust case, for which the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had summoned him multiple times. The leader had earlier posted a video on his twitter handle saying, he is ready for the arrest. Islamabad IGP Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, told Pakistani media outlets that the situation is under control. Meanwhile, the PTI shared photos of Imran Khan’s lawyer claiming he was injured in a scuffle during the arrest of the PTI chief.
