Chandrayaan-3: Elon Musk, Sundar Pichai and newspapers globally wish India

Congratulations are pouring in as India’s Chandrayaan-3 scripted history with soft-landing on the moon's surface. With this historic achievement, India has become the first country to successfully land on the moon's south pole. From world leaders to top personalities, Chandrayaan-3 has hogged the limelight for its historic feat. Elon Musk, who also owns SpaceX and Google CEO Sundar Pichai praised India’s lunar mission. Google CEO Sundar Pichai, in his congratulations post on his X handle, said that “What an incredible moment!” Reacting to his post, Tesla and SpaceX boss Elon Musk commented “Super cool”.  Prominent newspapers in the United States and the United Kingdom featured news items of Chandrayaan 3’s landing. After Chandrayaan-3's success, India has become the fourth country- after the US, China and Russia – to have successfully landed on the moon’s surface. India has also earned a place in record books as the first to touchdown on the south side of Earth’s only natural satellite.

IIT Bombay ranks first in the country, among top 150 universities globally

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Mumbai has achieved a great milestone by coming into the world's top 150 universities in the latest edition of the QS World University Ranking released on Wednesday. QS Founder and CEO, Nunzio Quacquarelli also congratulated IIT Bombay for securing its highest rank ever and said that they've ranked 2900 institutions for this year's ranking system and there are 45 Indian universities that are appearing in the rankings.The QS World University Rankings is an annual publication of university rankings that comprises the global overall and subject rankings. Earlier, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore achieved its highest rank in 2016 with a ranking of 147. According to the official statement, IIT Bombay has been ranked 1st in India and has moved significantly up from 177th rank last year to 149th rank this year in the QS World University Rankings, with an overall score of 51.7 out of 100. Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar aslo expressed happiness over India's achievement.
