Major security beach took place during the Parliament Winter Session on December 13. Security breach in Parliament took place during the live proceedings of Lok Sabha. Two unidentified persons jumped into Lok Sabha Chamber from visitors’ Gallery. The incident of Parliament security breach took place on the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 Parliament Attack. However, Delhi Police detained two persons in this regard. BJP MP Rajendra Agarwal, who was presiding over the House proceedings said the two men jumped from the crowd gallery before taking out something from their shoes which led to the smoke. Incidentally, today India observes 22nd anniversary of 2001 Parliament attack as it was on this date 22 years ago that the Parliament attack took place.

In a major break-through in the high-profile murder of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, Rajasthan Police on December 06 has identified two shooters who were involved in the killing. The two assailants have been identified as Rohit Rathore Makrana and Nitin Fauji, who hails from Mahendragarh, Haryana. Meanwhile, the situation in Rajasthan continued to remain tense as the cities witnessed massive protests. After the Karni Sena called for Rajasthan, massive protests were seen in various cities including capital Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur. Soon after the news broke out, Rohit Godara, close aide of Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi took responsibility for the gruesome murder. Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, was shot dead by three assailants in Jaipur on Dec 05. The murder sparked outrage among the Rajput community, which called for a state-wide bandh today.

ISRO attempted a Flight Test Vehicle Abort Mission, a key part of mission Gaganyaan, on October 21. However, the lift-off attempt failed because engine ignition could not happen in a nominal course. Gaganyaan Test Vehicle- Demonstration launch was put on hold at T-00:05 seconds. Later, taking to X, ISRO shared information that the reason for the hold was identified and corrected. In the wake of the Odisha train accident, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Sunday said, “The root cause of this accident has been identified. PM Modi inspected the site yesterday. We will try to restore the track today. All bodies have been removed. Our target is to finish the restoration work by Wednesday morning so that trains can start running on this track.” The triple-train accident involved Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, the Coromandel Express and a goods train. Notably, 17 coaches of the two passenger trains were derailed in the horrifying accident.

A doctor was reportedly shot at by unknown assailants in Noida today. The incident occurred right next to the residence of Noida's Senior Superintendent of Police in sector - 26 of the Delhi suburb.
