The Indian Air Force scrambled its Rafale fighter aircraft to search UFO in Imphal airport. The development came after a suspected ‘UFO’ was seen over Imphal airport around 2:30 pm on Nov 19. Earlier, a drone that was very small in appearance was spotted by security personnel at Imphal Airport on Sunday at 3 pm, according to sources. An alert was issued to other agencies at the airport and operations were postponed, sources added. Following the visual input, the Indian Air Force activated its Air Defence response. "IAF activated its Air Defence response mechanism based on visual inputs from Imphal Airport. The small object was not seen thereafter," IAF’s Eastern Air Command tweeted in regards to the UFO in Imphal that was sighted.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on July 24 said that Centre is ready to discuss the Manipur issue in Parliament. While addressing at Lok Sabha, he said, “I am ready for discussion on this in the House. I request the Opposition to let a discussion take place on this issue. Meanwhile, leaders of several opposition parties on Monday staged a protest in Parliament complex demanding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi make a statement in the House on the Manipur issue. Holding placards and banners that read "INDIA for Manipur" and "INDIA demands PM's statement on Manipur", the opposition parties raised slogans against the government in front of Mahatma Gandhi's statue in Parliament complex. Congress MPs including Shashi Tharoor, Mallikarjun Kharge demanded PM Modi's statement on the matter in the houses.

Just a few days back, a shocking video surfaced from the Indian state of Manipur that showed dozens of men parading and assaulting two women who had been stripped naked. The incident happened on May 4th. The main culprit in Manipur’s viral video who was wearing a green t-shirt and seen holding the woman has been arrested in an operation after proper identification. His name is Huirem Herodas Meitei (32 years) of Pechi Awang Leikai, according to government sources. A large number of people across the Imphal East district came out to the street and protested a day after 9 civilians were killed on June 14 in Manipur violence. A large team of RAF, AR, and state police rushed to the spot to take control of the situation as a large number of people blocked roads in Bamon Leikai, Wangkhei, and Kongba areas. The area in the jurisdiction of Imphal East has seen such incidents of violence over the last two-three days.
