While addressing the meeting, he hit out at Congress, DMK over ‘Katchatheevu’ row and said that the whole country is discussing another hypocrisy of Congress and DMK party.“Today the whole country is discussing another hypocrisy of Congress and the DMK party. When Congress was in government, these people gave Kachchatheevu Island to Sri Lanka. In which cabinet was this decision taken? For whose benefit was this decision taken? Congress is silent on this. Thousands of fishermen from Tamil Nadu have been arrested for going near that island...NDA government is continuously releasing such fishermen and bringing them back. Not only this, five fishermen were given death sentences but I brought them back alive. DMK and Congress are not only the culprits of the fishermen but also the culprits of the country,” said PM Modi.

In a shocking incident, Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs were marshalled out of Delhi Assembly on raising slogans over slogans over Delhi Jal Board alleged scam on 8th of April. The BJP MLAs staged a protest near Mahatma Gandhi's statue inside the Assembly premises. The BJP legislators started demanding a discussion on alleged irregularities in the DJB. Launching an attack on Congress over the Katchatheevu Island, PM Modi during a public meeting in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut on March 31, PM Modi said that Congress and its INIDA bloc’s allies cut off a part of “Maa Bharti” and separated it from India. "Today, another anti-national act of Congress has come before the country. PM Narendra Modi came down heavily against Congress for giving away Katchatheevu island to Sri Lanka in 1974. PM accused the Congress and former PM Indira Gandhi of weakening India’s unity, integrity and interests. PM took to X and wrote that Congress “callously” gave away the island of Katchatheevu to Sri Lanka. The Committee on External Affairs highlighted that Pakistan’s ISI is providing a haven to terrorist outfits. ISI is Pakistan’s agency responsible for providing intelligence inputs to the country’s military. The report highlighted that terrorism in India is sponsored from across the border. The Committee on External Affairs presented their 28th report on ‘Countering Global Terrorism at Regional and International Levels’. The report emphasised an action plan and mechanism to root out terrorist networks in the neighbouring countries. For a long time, Pakistan has been accused of being a ‘terror hub’ and providing shelter to terror groups. India has strained ties with Pakistan because of its continuous infiltration attempts in Jammu & Kashmir. Post abrogation of Article 370, India-Pakistan relations have nosedived.
