Actor-turned-politician, BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut offered prayers at revered deity Baba Bhootnath temple of Mandi, on April 01. Congress leader Supriya Shrinate’s ‘controversial’ post - which she later said she had not made - on BJP’s Kangana Ranaut triggered a row on March 25. The post used Kangana’s image with an objectionable caption which was later deleted. Soon Kangana Ranaut hit back at the Congress leader, saying that she has played various roles in movies and every woman deserves dignity. Supriya Shrinate claimed that the post, which has since been taken down, was made by someone who had access to her FB & Insta accounts. She also said, anyone who knows her will know that she would never say that for a woman and blamed a parody account for misusing her name. The post was made a day after the BJP fielded Kangana Ranaut from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi. Meanwhile, BJP leaders slammed Supriya Shrinate over the post and demanded that she should be immediately sacked.
