A massive explosion took place at Rameshwaram Cafe in Brookfield in East Bengaluru on 1st of March. The Bengaluru police and fire brigade rushed to the popular cafe after receiving a call about the explosion. The blast occurred during the lunch time between 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm. Reportedly, 4 people have been injured in the blast. Shattered glass and furniture were seen strewn on the floor of the cafe, which is a big draw among residents. The area was secured by Police and Fire Brigade teams and the injured were hospitalised. Police have begun an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the blast.

At least 11 people have been killed while over 60 others were injured after a massive fire broke out inside a firecracker factory in Madhya Pradesh’s Harda leading to several explosions, and triggering panic among locals in the nearby areas. Addressing the people, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that over 50 ambulances were sent to the spot and Minister Ranvendra Pratap Singh, DG Home and around 400 police officials also went to the accident site. The chief minister also announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 4 lakh for the families of the deceased while the injured will be given free treatment. PM Modi announced that Rs 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased and the injured will be given Rs 50,000.

A massive fire razed through a seven-storey residential building in Goregaon on Friday. At least seven people were killed while another 51 were injured in the mishap. The fire, which broke out in the wee hours of Friday morning, quickly spread through the multi-story building, trapping residents within. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and those injured in the devastating Goregaon fire incident and declared that an ex-gratia payment of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) would be provided to the next of kin of each deceased victim. A major fire broke out at a commercial complex in Maharashtra's Thane city on the night of Tuesday, April 18th. Officials said it was brought under control after 10 hours on Wednesday morning.
