Modi Government implemented CAA on 11th of March which has created a nationwide stir among people. BJP Tamil Nadu President K Annamalai on March 12 attacked DMK and CM MK Stalin over his remark that he will not allow implementation of CAA in Tamil Nadu. While attacking DMK, CM Stalin Annamalai said all the persecuted minorities are happy and CM Stalin should resign for making such kind of statement. He said, “In these three countries any religious persecuted minorities have come in so they will be granted citizenship by following a process… This amendment is not going to take a citizen from anybody, in fact, people are going to gain their citizenship. In what world Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is living? So what authority does he have to say that I am going to prevent this from happening, he cannot prevent it, how can he prevent it? It is going against the oath he has taken, better he resigns and gives a political speech…All the religious persecuted minorities are happy yesterday they celebrated sweets, are then not our people?”

The Supreme Court on 4th of March slammed Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin over his "eradicate Sanantan Dharma" remark. Stalin’s lawyer moved the Apex Court seeking clubbing of multiple FIRs registered against him in several states. Slamming Stalin, the Supreme Court said that the leader abused his right to “freedom of speech.” Supreme Court adjourned DMK Minister’s plea for its next hearing on March 15. A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khan and Dipankar Dutta told Stalin that he is a Minister and should know the consequences of his remark. Stalin is the Minister of youth welfare and sports of Tamil Nadu. He is a well known film actor and son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and ruling DMK chief M K Stalin. Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party President K Annamalai visited the Chennai Ambattur Industrial Estate on December 8 and inquired about the industries affected by the Chennai flood 2023. Annamalai visited the KKR metal components industry, inspected it, and enquired about walking in knee-level water in the company. Annamalai launched a scathing attack on the Tamil Nadu government for its lack of assistance in the flood-hit areas. He further added that the government needs to spend its reserves equally in different parts of Chennai. While speaking to ANI, K Annamalai said, “The government has to acknowledge that something wrong has happened and address the situation. The government has to spend its reserves equally in different parts of Chennai.”

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin in Chennai on December 07 and reviewed the situation in wake of cyclone Michaung. Earlier today, Rajnath Singh conducted an aerial survey of flood-affected areas of Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu government announced a holiday for schools and colleges in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, and Chengalpattu on December 07 due to severe flooding in several parts of these districts in the aftermath of Cyclone Michaung.

Comparing the DMK party which is a part of INDIA bloc, he called the leader ‘Hitler’ and asserted that the public would respond to this in the times to come. On the matter of boycotting 14 anchors by the Opposition bloc, the INDIA alliance, Agnihotri said that the leaders of these parties used to come to the same TV channels and give different types of statements through this medium, but now they have lost it too.

Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai, spoke about DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin's 'Sanatana Dharma should be eradicated' remark stating that Stalin’s comment on Sanatana Dharma is condemnable and his statement shows his Hitler mentality, this is done to attract a class in elections. He said Udhayanidhi Stalin should be called as 'Udhayanidhi Hitler'. Bommai added that Udayanidhi, who has made anti-constitutional statements, should be removed from the cabinet immediately.

Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi walked out of the Assembly Monday as Chief Minister M K Stalin moved a resolution to retain the speech prepared by the state government as part of the governor’s customary address. While Stalin was delivering his speech, Governor Ravi walked out of the Assembly before its proceedings came to an end with the playing of the national anthem. In his speech, Stalin said despite the fact that the governor’s activities were against the principles of the Dravidian Model of governance, since they are acting on behalf of the government, they respected the Assembly’s regulations and didn’t show any dissent while Ravi was delivering his speech.
