On 24th of April, a gruesome murder took place near India Gate, New Delhi. A 25-year-old ice cream vendor named Prabhakar was stabbed to death during a fight near India Gate late Wednesday evening. A case of murder was registered under Section 302 IPC. The preliminary investigation suggests that Prabhat was selling ice cream when he had an argument with a customer over payment. The matter escalated and the accused stabbed Prabhat with a knife, before running away from the crime spot. Prabhat rushed to the hospital but was declared dead by the doctors. The police arrested the accused, who was on the run after identifying him with the assistance of CCTV cameras installed in nearby shops. He has been brought to the police station for further information.

BJP National President JP Nadda and Union Minister Pralhad Joshi visited the residence of Congress corporator Niranjan Hiremath in Hubbali on April 21. The Congress corporator’s daughter Neha Hiremathn (23) was stabbed to death by her college friend on April 18. Neha Hiremath’s parents expressed grief for the loss as the BJP leaders assured them justice. JP Nadda and Pralhad Joshi along with the family members paid respect to the late Neha Hiremath as they showered flowers on her picture. "This is a shocking incident and we condemn it... This murder is an attack on humanity. CM Siddaramaiah's & Home Minister G Parameshwara's statements on this incident are objectionable. Their statements dilute the investigation. The people of Karnataka will not spare the current govt for appeasement politics...State govt should hand over the case to CBI if State Police is incapable of carrying out a probe. Hiremath has also demanded a CBI inquiry into the incident as he has less faith in the State police," said JP Nadda.

Niranjan Hiramath, father of the 24-year-old girl, who was stabbed to death by an unidentified person on a college campus in Hubbali, said that the authorities’ inquiry has not been up to the mark in the case and demanded a CBI Probe into the case. Congress Councillor of Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, Niranjan Hiremath said, "I have given the name of 8 people openly. They have not even caught one person. I am losing faith now. They are trying to divert my case. Give it to CBI if you cannot do it... The commissioner in this case is a lady, even then she is not taking a girl's murder seriously... She is working under some pressure... I demand the commissioner should be transferred for negligence in the case... I demand that the case should be given to CBI.”

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on April 16 gave a stern warning to the Bishnoi gang and the accused over the firing incident at Salman Khan’s house and said that he will uproot all gangs and goons from Mahrashtra. On the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan's residence on April 14, CM Eknath Shinde said, "I met with Salman Khan and assured him the government is with him. I also directed the police team to take immediate action on this and in that path two of the accused have been arrested... This is Maharashtra, no gang is left here... We will uproot all the gangs and goons...Here hooliganism will not be allowed to continue... The accused arrested are being interrogated... Strict actions will be taken. After two children were hacked to death in Budaun's Baba Colony on March 19, the parents of the deceased opened up about the incident and demanded justice. “We want justice. We want him to be interrogated in our presence. And then we want him to be killed in front of us. We won’t be at peace until we see him die in front of our eyes. I want him to die just like how he killed our children,” said Sangeeta, the mother of the deceased.Meanwhile, the father of the deceased children said, “Javed had borrowed money earlier too, 2-3 months back. This time too, he asked for money, took our kids to the roof, and killed them. He didn’t spare the younger child too. When our other child complained to us, he ran away. His shop used to be filled with gamblers. We want to know who is behind these murders… We want an interrogation, then an encounter.”
