Today on 19th April, the first phase of voting for the Lok Sabha election 2024 kicked off. In Maharashtra, the voting began in five seats of Nagpur, Ramtek (SC), Bhandara-Gondia, Chandrapur, and the Naxal-affected Gadchiroli-Chimur (ST). Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and his wife Amruta Fadnavis were seen casting their votes at a polling booth in Nagpur. After casting his vote, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis said, "Festival of democracy has started. I appeal to all the people to vote and strengthen democracy and register their participation in this festival of democracy." Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole cast his vote at a polling station in Bhandara.

Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India Nitin Gadkari on April 02 kick-started his election campaign in Nagpur. The BJP candidate from Nagpur constituency held a road show in South-West region of the city and received a warm welcome from the residents. Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis joined the Union Minister during his road-show ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. The city of Nagpur is scheduled to hold the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Arpil 19 during the first phase. "People are welcoming me with enthusiasm. On his nomination from the Nagpur constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Exuded confidence and said that he is 101 per cent sure that he is going to win e polls with a good margin. Speaking further, he said that all-round development of Nagpur-Vidarbha has been his pledge since the beginning of his political career. "As far as the victory is concerned, I am 101% confident that I will win with a good margin in any situation...I believe that I will win with more than a 5 lakh margin.
