Indian Defence officials on January 29 informed that the Indian Navy warship INS Sumitra rescued fishermen hijacked by Somali pirates. In the latest update the Indian Navy on January 31 shared a video of the rescue operation. In the video, the Pakistani-Iranian crew expressed gratitude and explained how pirates dumped their weapons after seeing the Indian Navy and they also raised Indian Navy zindabad . Later in the video, the crew chanted ‘All hail Indian Navy’ and ‘Thank you for saving our lives’The incident happened about 700 nautical miles west of Kochi in the Arabian Sea. The Iranian fishing vessel FV Iman was boarded with around 17 crew members which was hijacked by pirates. INS Sumitra intercepted the vessel and acted by the established SOPs to coerce the pirates for the safe release of the crew. Later, the FV was subsequently sanitized and released for onward transit. The latest attack came amid a series of attacks by Iran-backed Houthi rebels on cargo vessels in the Red Sea and other crucial business routes

Indian High Commissioner to the UK, Vikram Doraiswami was stopped from entering a Gurdwara in Glasgow, Scotland. After this Glasgow Gurdwara incident, the Indian authorities raised this issue with the UK Foreign Office and the police. A video of the incident went viral on the internet, where a man can be seen blocking Doraiswami from entering the Gurdwara. Now, the Glasgow Gurdwara authorities have condemned the incident. Amid row between India and Canada over killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Nijjar, Indian diplomat was heckled in Scotland. Indian High Commissioner to the UK Vikram Doraiswami was prevented from entering a Gurudwara in Glasgow. A video has been doing rounds on social media where a man was seen blocking Doraiswami from entering the Glasgow Gurudwara. Instead of getting into an argument, the Indian High Commissioner decided to leave in his car. The issue has been raised with the UK Foreign Office and also the police, according to sources. Sharply reacting to the incident, Sikh leaders from BJP slammed the pro-Khalistanis and said that anyone can enter a Gurdwara. This is not the first time that an Indian diplomat has faced such misbehavior. Earlier this year as well, Indian diplomats in Canada and UK have been openly threatened. The special NDPS court on October 20 had rejected the bail applications of Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and model Munmun Dhamecha after NCB presented ‘proof’ citing Aryan's WhatsApp chats. On October 21, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials reached Shah Rukh Khan’s Bandra residence ‘Mannat’ and also the house of actress Ananya Panday in connection with the cruise ship drugs bust case. The NCB team reached Khan's house hours after he visited his son Aryan at Arthur Road jail. As per NCB officials, the team was at Mannat for some documents related to the Aryan Khan case and was not carrying searches. Some phones, laptop and electronic devices have been seized from Ananya's residence, said NCB officials.
